Design & Product Development

We design and develop machines and equipment tailored to customer needs. We also develop our own products.

Some of our developed products have been internationally awarded.

Our design work has led to multiple patents both in Finland and abroad.

We have expertise and a network of partners across a broad range of fields, including mechanical engineering, hydraulics, and electrotechnical products. Implementation is possible either according to customers’ own drawings or according to drawings we design.

  • We use e.g. Autodesk Inventor Professional, AutoCAD Mechanical software.

Metal Machining Services

Our versatile machine base enables cost-effective and fast service.

Sheet-metal preprocessing

  • Plasma fine-radius cutting of metals (blank cutting up to 50 mm)
  • Sheet size up to 2500 × 9000 mm

Laser cutting

  • We also use equipment from partner companies for laser cutting.

Other metalworking equipment

  • Sheet shears
  • Abrasive bead blasting
  • Deburring drum
  • Press braking
  • Rolls (leveling / flattening)

Welding

We use certified quality systems 3834-2 and 1090-2

  • Welding is always performed following good workshop practice, and for load-bearing metal structures we use the certified 3834-2 system.
  • The general quality requirement for welding is SFS-EN ISO 5817 class C unless otherwise specified.
  • With respect to standard SFS-EN 1090, Lehtoniemen Metalli has selected EXC3 as its highest execution class.
  • In welding work we use methods including TIG, MIG, MAG and stick welding

Modern flexibility

Modern technology, speed, flexibility and professional skill are our key competitive advantages.

Thanks to five-axis machining, by tilting the spindle we can machine a component from up to five sides in a single setup. This reduces process steps and ensures top-level precision.

On our machining centers it is possible to machine 900 mm diameter parts in five-axis mode; in three-axis mode we can handle even larger parts.

Assembly

We perform demanding mechanical and electromechanical assemblies according to instructions and drawings.

Assemblies may include both components we manufacture ourselves and standard components. Our flexible approach allows for small to large series, and everything from subassembly to finished product packaging and delivery.

We provide you with the desired surface treatment so you receive the product as ready-to-use as possible:

  • Electroplating (electro-zinc plating)
